Watco Danish Oil is a penetrating oil-and-varnish blend that hardens in the wood, not on the wood -- producing a natural, hand-rubbed appearance with genuine protection. It penetrates deep into wood pores to enhance the natural colour and grain, then hardens to provide a durable, moisture-resistant finish without the plastic look of surface-film finishes. The gold standard for hand-finished furniture and woodworking. Available at Windsor Plywood locations.

Pro Tips
- Apply a generous wet coat with a cloth or brush, let it soak for 15-30 minutes, then wipe off all excess. The finish should be in the wood, not sitting on the surface. Any residue left on the surface will dry sticky.
- Sand between coats with 400-grit wet-dry sandpaper while the surface is still wet with the next coat -- this creates a slurry that fills the pores and produces an exceptionally smooth result.
- Danish oil is the preferred finish for hand-turned bowls, boxes, and small furniture where a natural, tactile surface is desired. It also makes an excellent base coat under paste wax for an even richer hand-rubbed finish.
